Industry Experience: 15 Tenure with Hilliary: 3

A native of Elgin, Benne Brewer, Assistant Vice President of Marketing, pursues and cultivates business relationships within the area community, while also supervising Hilliary Communications’ customer service and marketing department.

With more than 15 years of experience in marketing and community relations, he is the company’s point-of-contact for national chains, tribal governments and large enterprises. Additionally, Benne oversees the operations of the Community Connect facilities and their staffs.

Benne is also a very active member of the community in which he serves, which led him to the Hilliary family.

He is the immediate president of the Elgin Chamber of Commerce; Vice President of Walters Chamber of Commerce; Vice President of Crimestoppers Drug Busters of Southwest Oklahoma; Board Member for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Southwest Oklahoma, Elgin Community Library and Arts for All; a member of the Lawton chapter of AMBUCS; the State Chamber of Oklahoma’s Commission on Aerospace, Defense & Telecommunications committee; chairman of the Elgin Cemetery committee; Oklahoma Commerce Rural Broadband Expansion Adoption Sub-committee and an alumni of Leadership Lawton.

Often seen at Elgin community events, nonprofit events, and school sporting games, Benne continues to grow his community and grow Hilliary Communications’ ties to the community.

Prior to joining the company, Benne was the marketing manager for Apache Casino Hotel in Lawton where he was responsible for developing a strategic marketing plan to increase revenue and garner loyalty. To better highlight the property, he developed partnerships with department heads to plan events and negotiated with trade shows and other venues, all to great success.

One of his most rewarding roles at Hilliary Communications is overseeing the operations of Community Connect grants from the USDA, which helps facilitate broadband technology to underserved areas.

In addition, Benne is also Hilliary Communications’ point of contact for the E-Rate program – a federal program that provides discounts to public K-12 schools and public libraries purchasing data transmission services, telecommunications services, Internet access, Internet connections, and basic maintenance of internal connections.
