A native of Elgin, Benne Brewer, Assistant Vice President of Marketing, pursues and cultivates business relationships within the area community while supervising Hilliary Communications’ Customer Service and Marketing departments.

With more than 16 years of experience in marketing and community relations, Benne is the company’s point of contact for national chains, tribal governments, and large enterprises. Additionally, he oversees the operations of the Community Connect facilities and their staff.

Hilliary family of companies an operation which includes $120 million-plus in plant investments, provides Internet, phone and video services to approximately 20,000 customers across 26 counties in Oklahoma, Texas, and Iowa.

Benne is also a very active member of the community in which he serves, which led him to the Hilliary family.

In 2022 Benne was named to the State Chamber of Oklahoma’s Commission on Aerospace, Defense & Telecommunications Committee and the Oklahoma Commerce Rural Broadband Expansion Adoption Subcommittee.

An alumni of Leadership Lawton, in 2020-2021, Benne served as President of the Elgin Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Walters Chamber of Commerce. He is a Board Member for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Southwest Oklahoma, Elgin Community Library and Arts for All Inc., and the Lawton Chapter of AMBUCS.

Benne also serves as Chairman of the Elgin Cemetery Committee.

Often seen at Elgin community events, non-profit events, and school sporting games, Benne continues to grow his community and Hilliary Communications’ ties to the community.

Before joining the company, Benne was Marketing Manager for Apache Casino Hotel in Lawton, where he was responsible for developing a strategic marketing plan to increase revenue and garner player loyalty. To better highlight the property, he developed partnerships with department heads to plan events and negotiate with trade shows and other venues, all to great success.

Of his most rewarding roles at Hilliary Communications is overseeing the operations of Community Connect grants from the USDA, which helps facilitate broadband technology to underserved areas. Benne also coordinates and leads Hilliary’s annual scholarship program, which has awarded more than 50 scholarships to deserving students across Oklahoma and Texas.
